When Sandy Champion came to us, she asked beinc to give her abode of luxury and lifestyle, Driftwood Boutique, a voice, an identity, a look and a say. But more than that, because COVID had started to suffocate small boutiques throughout Australia, she needed to take her world of lifestyle, fashion and luxury to an online realm.

Problem & Opportunity

Inspired by travel, Driftwood Boutique is an experiential lifestyle palace that takes its clientele on a unique ethnic journey through designer homeware, fashion and accessories. The boutique sells the message of exotic and universal luxury, ‘why travel, when you can have Morocco in your home?’ 

Hoping to maintain its connection with upper class Yeppoon and to establish itself as an ethnic luxury lifestyle stockist across Brisbane; Driftwood Boutique came to us looking for a full-scale brand strategy package as well as a high-functioning e-commerce website that emulates the essence of her lifestyle and luxury palace.

Solution

Driftwood Boutique is an experiential lifestyle palace that takes its clientele on a unique ethnic journey through designer homeware, fashion and accessories. The family-run emporium prides itself on ethically-sourced and authentic pieces. They are passionate about distinctive personal styling and interior design. Their blend of lifestyle and fashion is one that transcends passing trends in its timelessness.

 

To emulate the Yeppoon-based boutique in all its glory, we infused the essence of Sandy Champion’s travel into her brand identity. We wanted the online experience to be just as immersive as the in-store experience, embellished with the ability to transport consumers into different worlds. The logo is representative of various shapes that make up parts of the brand ethos. The diamond is representative of the light, life and sun laid over a flower which is representative of youth and beauty. At the heart of the logo is the ‘eye’ which fulfils the creativity, balance and cohesion of the brand. Tying the brand logo together is the ‘eight-pointed star’ which is the Moroccan symbol of unity. 

As for the colours, deep teal is solid, sophisticated and the epitome of high end. It’s symbolic of the infinity of the sea and sky. In contrast, Moroccan clay and desert sand were chosen to symbolise the colours of morocco. The brand’s tone of voice is crafted with an air of sophistication while maintaining its intrinsic warmth and approachability. It embodies peace and spirituality and all the things to make you feel right at home in an exotic world.
